I had another hour of physical therapy this morning. I pedaled a bicycle thing, climbed into various weight machines for some undignified flopping around, and attempted a few stretching & balance exercises.
It was all quite strenuous. The ten-minute cool down – with an electric knee-chilling device – was quite pleasant. (When I did PT after hand surgery in 2007, I got a bag of ice to cool down with. They’ve upgraded their facilities since then.)
It’s working, too. I’m walking better (most of the time), using the cane less. (Funny thing, the cane. People treat me differently because of it.) I have six more sessions, spread over the next three weeks; I’m hoping that when I’m done the knee will be back to normal.
I am wondering, though, whether I’ll be doing this all again with the other knee.
