My Pair account – happy home of the daybook – is perilously close to its 250MB disk quota. If I go over, Pair will start padding the bill, so a bit of housecleaning is in order.
It appears that Movable Type has left behind quite a bit of cruft in ~/public_html/daybook: obsolete archive directories, etc. Perhaps I should wipe everything & republish.
Lately I’ve had the notion to convert http://patrick-rice.net/ from its current Movable Type + nasty old hand-coded XHTML to Movable Type + MediaWiki. Then I could migrate all the old content into MediaWiki & have it nicely accessible once again.
To do that, I’d probably have to switch to Pair Lite. The upfront cost is a bit steep ($99/year), but amortized over a year it’s about the same as what I’m paying now. And Pair Lite offers more web development toys to play with that the Pair FTP account I have now.
Hm…what to do, what to do….
